Rose Deckard Celsor, 90, of Tomball, Texas peacefully entered eternal rest at home on March 30, 2014.
Lamon Rose Deckard was born December 25, 1923 at Lafayette, Tennessee to the late Gipson T. Deckard and Emma Bray Deckard. Rose was married to Don Celsor November 11, 1946. They were married 38 years until his passing in 1985.

Rose was the youngest of 12 children. She was a home maker on the family farm in Tennessee and Kentucky until age 45, when the family moved to Houston, where she became involved in residential real estate, first as broker and later in rentals and property management for 35 years. She was a member of her beloved Spring Creek Church of Christ in Tomball, where she served as a leader in the encouragement ministry and widow’s ministry for years. Loving Jesus and serving him faithfully, Rose kept her eyes on Him. Once she could no longer read, she often asked visitors to read her Bible to her. When she was no longer able to participate in the local assembly, she slipped away into the arms of Jesus.

She is survived by a son, Dennis Celsor and wife Rebecca, of Magnolia, Texas, and 3 grandchildren: Rachel of Magnolia, Matthew and wife Lorielle of Port Arthur, Texas, and Christin of Magnolia. She was preceded in death by husband Don, and son, Russell.
